A LONE GIRL – written in 1991 or so
rpascale
A lone girl
Sits and justifies her solitude
With a stack of books
A lone woman
Thinks she’s insane
And the moon is to blame
A lone heart
Seeks itself
In a throbbing body
A lone tear
Takes its path
Toward her tongue
The songs… the night
the streets. the fright
Who am I? And why am I Alone?
A lone thought
Of being unloved
Pitches tent in her mind
How many of us are
A Lone
Am I the only one
A lone
When did I start to think that
A Lone
Was lonely, sad & bad.
Listen Heart!
We are all A Lone
Born and Die Alone
Who can know us, but ourselves.
