Poem - Screen killed paper - April 2018

04/20/18

This screen

Has stolen

Words on paper

These words

Stay stifled

A vague memory

Scribbled on scraps

That litter a lifetime

This longing

To be relevant

To share the soul

That only one knows

So much life is

Left unwritten

A story wanting to be told

This poem

Will be buried

As the river rages on

Under the silt of the day

To create art

Is an act of immeasurable courage.
