BLOOD STRANGERS
Strange
We’ve become
Strangers
Of blood.
Birth bathed in Blood
My blood, your earth.
Sweat and tears
And laughter – across miles
Two tens of years
Through fears and smiles.
Strange
To one, and another,
We’ve become
My child, your mother.
The mystery remains mine
The heart won’t know peace
Oh, for time to rewind!
Like the images we keep.
Tear soaked cheeks
Fading memories of past
Worn fabric frayed edges
In the boxes all packed
Strange
Perhaps it is time
For this mother child
To reunite
With her mother
SWITCH FLIPPED
And just like that
From the depths of hell
The forsaken barren land
Becomes all is well
Just a nod my way
From the DNA
And the cells renew
Its this simple, its true.
To be forsaken is death
To the womb that once held you
To be remembered is life
Wonder what it was that compelled you.
When the heart is seen
No longer in tatters
For energy flowing between
Is all now that matters
